LEBLANC, V. BEATRICE - It is with great sorrow that the family announces the death of Beatrice LeBlanc of Clifton Royal, widow of James LeBlanc, which occurred on Sunday, August 18 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family. Bea was born on January 16, 1943 in Astle, York Co., NB, the daughter of the late Alexander and Verna (Astle) Smith of Napadogan, NB. Following graduation from Stanley High School in 1960, she moved to the Saint John area, settling on the Kingston Peninsula in 1974, where she resided until her death. She worked as a secretary at Centracare for many years. Bea was a member of the United Church of Canada, and served as an elder for Bayswater-Summerville United Church. Bea loved to knit, and in her younger years, loved playing softball. She was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan, and enjoyed watching curling in the winter months. She is survived by her son, James G. LeBlanc (Angela) of Quispamsis, two daughters; Natalie Pevlin (Sterling) and Nancy Titus (Randy) of Clifton Royal, eight grandchildren; Craig and Krista Titus, Lindsay, Gary, Gregory and Nicole Pevlin, and Danielle and Ashley LeBlanc. She is also survived by one sister, Marion Plaster (Fred) of Fredericton, two brothers; Lawrence Smith (Edna) of Kingsley, NB, and Roy Smith (Suzanne) of Longueil, QC; sisters-in-law Mary Smith of Kingsley, NB, Carol Smith of Port Hawksbury, NS, as well as Bea's late husband's sister Jean Sanders (George) of Quispamsis, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre- deceased by brothers James, Frederick and Eldon Smith.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 22 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Kingston United Baptist Cemetery.
