The death occurred peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her home, on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, of Lila Stairs-Wilson of Linkletter Road, aged 81 years. Born in Darn Ridge, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Byron and Mabel (Haines) Boone. Survived by her children Judy (Neil) Logan, Chelton; Robert (Marion) Stairs, Halifax, NS; Joyce (Duncan) Mackinnon, Port Hope, ON; grandchildren Chad (Lisa) Logan; Derrith (Craig) MacDougall; Jason Logan (Allison Pitcher); Colin Stairs (Jennifer Stewart); Emily Stairs; Kate Mackinnon (Ben Normand); great-grandchildren James and Patrick Logan; Keegan and Kierra MacDougall; sister Mary (Milton) Carr; brother Elwood (Joan) Boone; stepsons Calvin (Marilyn) Wilson, Kingston, ON; Austin (Dorene) Wilson, Tweed, ON; step-grandchildren Valerie (Kory) Cooper; Curtis, Wade and Rory Wilson; special niece Diane (Ron) McKinzey, Lake Couchiching, ON; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her first husband Fraser Stairs; second husband Lloyd Wilson; brothers William, Raymond and Harold Boone; sister Doreen Gould. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Thursday, Aug. 29, then to the Bedeque United Church for funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment later in Otis Cemetery, Nackawic, N.B. Visiting hours Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 6-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of PEI or to the Red Cross would be appreciated.
