Born: July 10th, 1998
Passed on: August 24th, 2013
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Emily Alice Forbes on August 24th, 2013. Emily was born on July 10th, 1998 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Emily was predeceased by her great-grandparents Fred and Priscilla McNaughton, Clarence and Alice Forbes, Harold Wilkins and her baby cousin Abby McAuley (2002). Her special grandma, Judy McNaughton (2006) was also waiting for her with open arms. Emily is loved and deeply missed by her ‘Pappa’ and ‘Momma’, Todd and Audra Forbes and by her ‘boys’, brothers Justin Morash, Drew Forbes (Corallee) and Bren Forbes (Marissa). She is also lovingly remembered by her Grandparents Larry and Marilyn Forbes and Dick McNaughton, her Great- Grandmothers Ethel Wilkins and Betty Poelzer, all of her Aunties, Uncles and Cousins; Marcy and Kelly Duffey, Tyson, Rhyann (Trevor), and Calder; Lori McNaughton and Jason Kulyk; Jessica McNaughton (Bill Radiuk) and Brett McAuley and their children Jacob and Jakson McAuley; Rick and Tracey Gardner and Ethan (Taryn) and Tayler (Trevor). She will also be remembered by many other extended family members and her many dear friends who gave her strength and lots of love. Her horse “Gemmers” will be lucky to find a new little girl with so much love to give. Emily was a beautiful soul who brought love, light and laughter to everyone she met. She had a deep rooted passion for animals, including a very special way with her beloved horses. Her love of horses was evident from an early age – her horse lifestyle and the relationships she built in that capacity enriched her life immensely. Em also enjoyed being part of a team, playing baseball and soccer when she was younger and volleyball and basketball in the last few years. She was a competitive young lady on the courts but enjoyed the social aspect of those teams most. Emily also loved spending time at the cabin in Northern Saskatchewan – where the troubles of the world melted away and she could enjoy nature. She also loved spending time with her family – watching her boys play sports, taking long country drives with her Aunties and their cameras, and just chillin’ with her cousins - most importantly we all loved spending time with her. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 30th at 2pm at the Hillcrest Apostolic Church followed by a brief time of fellowship - 1550 Main Street North, Moose Jaw, Sk. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658, Stn. Main, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 9Z9 or the Canadian Mental Health Association, 650 Coteau St. W., Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 5E6.
