FEHR - Magaretha Fehr, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. Margaret was born on September 7, 1937, in Swift Current, SK to Cornelius & Anna Fehr. She grew up on the family farm at Rosengard, and took her schooling at the Amphion School. In 1966, she moved to Schoenfeld along with her Mother and some of her siblings. She enjoyed the few farm animals that they were able to have. After a while when she no longer could take care of the larger animals, she still kept her cats. Schoenfeld was home to Margaret, until due to poor health, she moved in with her sister, Katherine Fehr, in Swift Current. She was hospitalized again on August 26, 2013, where she remained until her passing. Margaret was baptized on May 27, 1969, in the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, Schoenfeld, SK, where she was a faithful member. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Cornelius (1957) & Anna (1970); by four brothers; four sisters; and by three siblings in infancy. She is survived by her sisters, Sarah Ewert and Katherine Fehr; a brother, Henry (Sarah) Fehr; and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The Funeral Service was held on Sunday, September 8, 2013, at 2:00 pm from the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, Schoenfeld, SK with Rev. Abe Funk officiating. The Interment Service was held at the Schoe3nfeld Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Peter Ginter, Johnny Wieler, John Wolfe, Kevin Fehr, Les Penner and John Hamm. In memory of Margaret Fehr, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were in care of Swift Current Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK.
