Abington, Massachusetts, United States of America, Mary A. (Scott) Inman, age 100, of Abington, formerly of Weymouth, MA, USA, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham, MA, USA, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born, raised and educated in Meadow Bank, Prince Edward Island, Canada. She immigrated to Quincy, MA, USA, when she was 17 years old. Mary has lived in Hingham for two years, previously living with her son and his family in Abington for twenty-three years, and earlier living in Weymouth and Quincy.

She was a longtime and active member of Fort Square Presbyterian Church in Quincy and belonged to the Golden Circle, Friendship Circle, and Young at Heart.

Mary and her late husband, David, were the owners and operators of the former Inman’s Poultry and Egg Farm in Weymouth for over twenty years. She also worked in various roles for the former Stetson Shoe, the former Michigan Abrasive, and the Braintree Manor Nursing Home.

Mary enjoyed bingo and was an avid bowler, bowling into her early nineties. She was also a hockey enthusiast and a passionate Boston Bruins fan.

Beloved wife of the late David E. Inman.

Devoted mother of Ernest D. Inman and his wife Bette of Meredith, New Hampshire, USA and Barbara A. MacNeill of PEI, Canada.

Loving grandmother of Scott Inman, Lori Hunt and her husband Daniel, David MacNeill and his wife Christine, Shelley MacNeill, and Steven MacNeill.

Loving great-grandmother of Samantha MacNeill and Regan MacNeill.

She was one of eight children and predeceased by Melvin Scott, Ida Jenkins, John Scott, Herbert Scott, Hector Scott, Harold Scott, and Lillian Moore.

Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, Wednesday, September 18th at 11 o’clock. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 p.m. Interment Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA, USA 01701.
