JOHNSTON, DORIS VIRGINIA (nee CORCORAN) - 1917 – 2013 - Doris Virginia Johnston (nee Corcoran), wife of the late Rex Johnston, passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Centre on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the age of 96. She was a daughter of the late Effie and Murray Corcoran, Codys, Queen’s Co., NB. She resided at her home in Goshen, Queen’s Co., NB until she went to the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex, NB. She is survived by her son, Ronald Johnston (Irene); her daughters: Lois Rumson and Sandra Kincaid; her sons-in-law: David Mason and Doug Rumson; her sisters-in-law: Mary Corcoran and Louise Corcoran; seven grandchildren: Ronald Johnston Jr., Tracey Johnston, Vaughan Mason, Wendy Mason, Laurie Flood, Michael Rumson, Lisa Rumson-Harrity, Kathy Kincaid, and Reuben Kincaid; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Eileen Kincade, Blanche Haines (Carl), and Rose Thorne; as well as by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Lynn Mason; her son-in-law, Norman Kincaid; her brothers: Ralph, Robert, Leslie, and Allison; her sister-in-law, Lorna Corcoran; he brother-in-law, Lennie Kincade; her granddaughter, Shawn Marie Johnston, and her nephew, Randy Corcoran.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home (506-433-2133). There will be no visitation as per her request.
