Passed peacefully away at her home on Tuesday, September 17th 2013, Bessie Reid of South Dildo in her 94th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Samuel Freeman Reid (July 12, 1991) and son-in-law, Graham Green, May 18, 2007. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life with thanksgiving are her children: Jim (Lorraine), Sylvia (Gordon), David (Velma), Calvin (Hilda), Marjorie (Thomas) and Elsie; twelve grandchildren: Christopher (Roxanne), Christine (Shawn), Andy (Millie), Andrea (Gordon), Betty (Jim), Don (Denise), Juanita (Eddie), Mark (Janice), Gerry, Robbie (Heather), Matthew, Kimberly (Jean Sebastian); twelve great-grandchildren: CJ, Carleton, Melissa, Shawna, Samantha, Sarah, Brooke, Emma, Emily, Hillary, Alex and Henry. She is also lovingly remembered by one sister, Dora Woodman; brother-in-law, Donald Reid, as well as a number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo on Wednesday, September 18th 2-9 p.m. Thursday, September 19th 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from All Saints’ Anglican Church, Dildo on Friday, September 20th at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Francis Cemetery, South Dildo. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the St. Francis Cemetery Fund, South Dildo.
