The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, September 20, 2013, of Marie Bernadette Gallant of Le Chez-Nous, Wellington, at the age of 95 years. Bernadette was born in Cape Egmont on November 9, 1917, daughter of the late Joseph Felix and Jeanne (nee Arsenault) Gallant. Bernadette is lovingly remembered by her sister Rita of Le Chez-Nous in Wellington and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Augustin and sister-in-law Nélida, sisters Madeleine and brother-in-law Donat Arsenault and Marie Marguerite who died in infancy. She was also predeceased by nieces and nephews Zita, Dorothy, Hector, Gavin and Della Arsenault, and Zita and Thérèse Gallant. Resting at the Evangeline Co-op Funeral Home, Urbainville, for visitation on Sunday, September 22, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mont-Carmel Church, Mont-Carmel, on Monday, September 23, at 10:30 a.m. Donations in Bernadette’s memory can be made to La coopérative Le Chez-Nous ltée., Wellington.
