Deborah 'Debbie' Seppola
Passed in: Canyon Creek
Passed on: September 23rd, 2013
We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Debbie, after a short but courageous battle with brain cancer on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 37 years, Dana Seppola of Canyon Creek, Alta.; daughters, Crystal (Daryl) Imrie of Kyle, Sask., Darcie (Kelly) Coulter of Grande Prairie, Alta. and son, Joel (Lisa Hook) Seppola of Canyon Creek. Also grandchildren, Jackson, Jorja and Jay Imrie, Charli and Kylie Coulter and Jolie Seppola. Debbie also leaves behind her father, John Brewer; her sister, Michelle Brewer; two brothers, Lawrence (Lynn) Brewer and John Wayne (Beryl) Brewer, all of Sydney.
Debbie loved sewing, crafts and quilting and always had some "project" on the go. When her children were young they always had handmade coats, Halloween costumes, dance and skating costumes. When the grandchildren started to arrive, Debbie was always so excited with the birth of each child and loved to spend every moment she could with them. The kids were always excited when Nanny came to visit because she always had gifts and treats.
Debbie was a very active volunteer her whole life. She was a member of the Widewater Athletic Association for many years and she started the now very successful annual Canada Day parade in Canyon Creek. She loved travelling with Dana, exploring antique or quilt shops and more recently, helping Darcie create and decorate beautiful weddings. She was always an active member of the Catholic Church and had many friends in and out of her church circle who were always welcomed into her home with a smile and a cup of tea.
Deborah was predeceased by her mother, Cecilia Brewer in 2001.
As per Debbie's request, cremation has taken place. She will be returning home to be reunited with her beloved mother.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbie's memory to the Canyon Creek Recreation Society, P.O. Box 2, Canyon Creek, Alta., T0G 0M0.
