At Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, of William "Reginald" MacLean, Summerside, age 90, veteran of World War II, husband of the late Julia (MacDonald). Reginald was born on April 7, 1923, in Woodbrook, son of the late James and Sarah (Adams) MacLean. Dear father to Ralph (Isabel), St. Eleanors; LaVerne Perry, Summerside; Rose (Lance) Thompson, Miscouche; Brent, Kensington; William R. (Elaine), Moncton, NB; Shane (Debbie), Borden; Jimmy, Cornwall; Kenny (Karen), St. Eleanors; Danny (Lynne), Summerside; and Tracey MacLean, Summerside. Loving grandfather to 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, wife Julia Elizabeth, infant son James William and son-in-law Lloyd Perry. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel, Tyne Valley, with visiting hours Friday, Sept. 27, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday until 10 a.m., then to St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Church, Foxley River, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery, Foxley River. Comrades from Summerside and Ellerslie Royal Canadian Legions will hold a service of remembrance for their late comrade at the funeral home on Friday evening at 6:45. In memory of Reginald, memorials to Heart and Stroke Foundation and Addiction Services P.E.I. would be appreciated.
