WOODS, BLANCHE - 1921- 2013 - Blanche Woods, of Peoples Park Tower and formerly of Riverview and Bouctouche, NB, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the age of 92 years. Born in Robertville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lionel J. and Amanda (Frenette) Doucet. She attended Holy Family Roman Catholic Parish. She will be deeply missed by her children Donald (Marcelle) Woods, Patrick (Angela) Woods and Margaret Jean (Ken) Colpitts; grandchildren James Woods, Katherine Colpitts Beers, Heather Colpitts, Roxane Woods-Bindon and Kenneth Colpitts; seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers Lauza Gaudreau, Eulalie Roy, Euclide Doucet, Jacqueline Drysdale, Juliette Graveline, Gabrielle Hache, Olga Doucet, Ulysse Doucet and Huguette Lagace; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband James Woods in 1999 and by sisters and brothers Yolande Roy, Cordelia Arbour, Alyre Doucet, Oscar Doucet and Raoul Doucet.
Visitation will be held at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 52 Falkland St. Moncton, on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 11:30 AM until time of mass at 1:00 PM with Father Charles Broderick officiating. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Cemetery, Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB. In lieu of flowers, donations in Blanche's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd.
