Guy Allen Kennedy
February 20, 1958 – September 27, 2013

Guy was born on February 20, 1958 to Gordon and Marlene Kennedy. He passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at St. Paul’s Hospital, Palliative Ward on September 27, 2013. Guy is survived by the love of his life Jo-Ann (LeBlanc); his son Brad Kennedy and his daughter Christa (Sheldon) Logan and grandchildren Logan, Austin, Taylor and Lucas. He is also survived by his siblings Gwen Kennedy, Gay Kennedy, Mona Welykholowa, Curtis Kennedy, Don Salmond, Lori Magee, Tara Harrison, Cory Kennedy and their families; his Aunt Ingrid Sinoski and family; Uncle Ken and Aunt Arlene Kennedy and family; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in law Corrine and Larry Dubray, Roger and Jeanette LeBlanc and families. Guy was predeceased by his parents Gordon (Bud) and Marlene Kennedy; brother Wade Kennedy; in-laws Amedé and Dezilda LeBlanc; brother-in-law Chris Danczcak; and step-mother Carole Kennedy. Throughout his life Guy held many jobs but was really a truck driver at heart or a “professional driver’ if you asked him. He was proud of the work he did and did it well. His other love was restoring vintage John Deere snowmobiles and he had several that were a labor of love. Guy also spent many years volunteering at the Winter Festival dog races, until a stroke in 2011 prevented him from continuing this. Guy lived life to the fullest, loved people and had a great sense of humor that he maintained right to the end. At Guy’s request there will be no funeral service, but the family welcomes all to a come and go “Celebration of Life” on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Midtown Hall, 540 – 9th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations in Guy’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Paul’s Palliative Ward. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray's Funeral Chapel, Lorne Adams, Funeral Director.
