TREEN: Clayton Lambert "Shorty" of Swift Current, SK passed away on October 4, 2013 at the age of 84 years. A Funeral Service was held on October 6, 2013 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Snyder officiating. The organist was Mary Henderson, and the eulogy was read by Mark Treen and Nicole Lavallee. The Interment Service was held from Memory Gardens Cemetery, and the pallbearers were Ed Busse, Ron Reimche, Bud Reimche, John Kehler, Allan Unger, and Tyson Lavallee. Shorty is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby; daughter, Debra (Don); sons: Steven (Pamela), and Justin; grandchildren: Mark (Jessica), Nicole (Tyson) and Melissa; great Grandchildren: Sophie, Jack, Joshua, and Hannah; brothers, Gerry and Harold; and his sister Gwen. He is predeceased by his mother, Bertha Treen (nee: Lambert); father, Lewis Treen; daughter, Brenda Mae; grandson, Travis; brothers, Russell and Glen; and sister, Dorothy. Shorty attended school at the Golden Sheaf in Gull lake and later married Ruby Schwartz on June 8th, 1952 in Hallonquist, SK. He worked at Treen Livestock and upon retiring in 2000, became a Commissionaire at the Swift Current Police Department in 2003 where he remained until 2013. He was a member of the Swift Current Curling Club and the Swift Current Elks Lodge. Shorty loved to go watch his horses run, watch hockey and baseball, especially the Boston Red Sox, and going to the Casino. He loved his family and his horses. Shorty embraced life and will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We love you. The family would like to thank all of the staff that looked after Shorty at Cypress Regional Hospital.
