It is with great sadness that the family announces Esther's passing. Esther was born July 27, 1928 in Acme, Alberta to Harry and Sarah Davis.

Esther was predeceased by her parents, brothers Walt, Henry and Bob, her sister Margaret and eldest son Len (Yvette).

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 57 years Robert, daughter Susan (Dave) Power, son Bob (Linda) and daughter Kathy (Alec) McColm; grandchildren Teena (Steve), Richard (Holly), Michael, Melissa, Graeme, Mitchell, Sarah, Stefanie (Marc) and Curtis; great-grandchildren Stephan, Megan, Delanie, Leah and Aiden. There are numerous nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.

Being married to a construction worker, Esther lived in many places throughout BC, Coquitlam, Qualicum, Windermere, Chetwynd, Prince George, Terrace, Granisle, Savona and Kamloops. She was a founding member of the OAPO in Savona, volunteered her time at the Anglican Church, was a proud supporter of the Junior Forest Wardens, and helped many young readers at Savona Elementary. Esther spent many happy years decorating cakes and doing flower arrangements. She was an avid canvasser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Cancer Society.

Esther was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Friend. She was hospitalized September 27th and passed peacefully October 5th holding the hand of her loving husband Bert.

A Celebration of Esther's life will be held at the Savona Community Hall on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Interment to follow the celebration at the Savona Cemetery.
