The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Thursday, October 10, 2013, of Gloria Ann Labobe, Milton, formerly of Lennox Island, aged 53. Born in Tyne Valley on July 26, 1960, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Anita Labobe Bernard. Dear mother to Cynthia Tomah (Hiram Manderville), Woodstock, NB; Gerald Albert Bear, St. Mary's, NB; Lisa Labobe, Summerside. Loving grandmother to seven grandchildren. Gloria is also survived by sisters and brothers Wendell (Cathy), Lennox Island; Edward, Charlottetown; Judy (Emmett) Peters, Patq-Nkek, NS; James Wayne; Patricia (Steve Relton), all of Lennox Island; Sandra (Vincent) Basque, John Jr. (Donna), all of Patq-Nkek, NS, and survived by her dear friend Rene. She was predeceased by her parents, son Christopher, brothers Preston, Johnny and Patrick. Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel for visiting hours Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., then to St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Lennox Island, for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
