Wedge, Ferdinand - The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday Oct. 12, 2013 of Ferdinand Wedge of Tignish Seniors Home Care Co-op and formerly of Jude’s Point aged 81 years.
Husband of the late Myrtle Wedge nee Keough.
He was born in Fortune Cove on February 5, 1932, the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Gallant) Wedge.
Dear father to Karen (Danny) Doucette, Ch’town, Kathy Wedge (John LeClair), Airdrie, Alberta, Krissy (late Don) Thomson, Calgary, Alberta, Janice (Steve) Fenner, Summerside, Joey (Stacy) Wedge, Tignish and Howard (Janie Marie) Shea, Tignish.
Loving grandfather to Ben, Mitchell and Alex Doucette, Jessica Faye and Kristopher LeClair, Daryl, Spencer and Hillary Thomson, Zachary, Zabrina and Zyler Fenner, Kyle Wedge and Alicia Martin.
He is also survived by special friend Mary Anne Corrigan.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Rose, wife Myrtle, brother Edward and son-in-law Don.
Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9-9:45 a.m.
Funeral will be held Wednesday at St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish where funeral mass will be celebrated by Rev. Brendon Gallant at 10:30 a.m.
Memorial donations to St. Simon & St. Jude Building Fund or P.E.I. Human Society would be greatly appreciated.
