On Tuesday, October 8, 2013, Joyce passed away surrounded with the love of her family at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice, Kamloops, B.C.

Joyce is predeceased by her husband David; parents Elizabeth and James Cullen; sisters Lillian, Edna, Margaret, Clara, Ellen, Eileen and brothers Jimmy, Arthur, Herbert and James. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by daughters Deborah, and Diane (Tom); grandchildren Anne (Ryan), Christine (John), Michael (Olivia) and Kevin; great-grandchildren Renee, Cooper, David and Ben; twin-sister Jean and niece Louise.

Born on February 15, 1931 in Port Elgin, New Brunswick. Joyce received her schooling in Port Elgin and completed High School in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Joyce married David in 1951 in London, Ontario. As a military wife Joyce spent time in Marville, France, Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario. Upon retirement Joyce and Dave moved to Kamloops, B.C. in 1978.

Joyce began her career at London Life Insurance in London, Ontario and later worked for Canada Mortgage and Housing in Ottawa, Ontario.

Joyce will be remembered for her smile, her caring heart, her being there to listen, her humor, her courage and strength in the face of illness, her independence and her value that every person be shown kindness.

Joyce will be lovingly remembered
by family and friends.

Memorial Service to take place on Monday, October 28th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Schoenings Funeral Service, 513 Seymour Street, Kamloops, B.C. with Mary Widmer, Celebrant.

Due to allergies, the family requests no flowers please.

Donations to RIH Hospital - (directed to Renal Unit). 311 Columbia Street, Kamloops, B.C., V2C 2T1, in memory of Joyce would be appreciated.

Joyce will be laid to rest with her husband David in the National Military Cemetery in Ottawa.
