STEEVES, MARILYN K. - 1939 - 2013 - Marilyn K. Steeves, 73, of Riverview, NB; passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital, on Saturday, October 19, 2013. Born in Newcastle, NB; she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Elizabeth (Sherrard) McKay. Marilyn was a retired Alzheimer Patient Care Giver with Alternative Health Care Services. Marilyn enjoyed cooking, making preserves, sewing and crafts, she was always one to give a helping hand to those in need. A loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, she will sadly missed by her loving family, husband Peter, her daughters Jocelyn (Gary), Kelly (Rod) and Amy Joe (Jamie); son Grant (Laurie); step son Shane; daughter-in-law Roxanne; her adoring twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; her sisters Gordonna and May, as well as nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her son Craig, brothers Lenwood, James and Roy and by her sisters Juanita, Donalda, Yvonne and Alberta.
The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview, NB on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1:30 pm. Interment will be in Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview, NB. Donations in Marilyn's memory made to the Alzheimer's Society of Southeast NB or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
