AUGER- Marcel Joseph Auger, age 78, of Swift Current, Sk. passed away October 15, 2013 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Kelly Grittner officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in his life. Marcel is survived by his wife Maureen; daughter Nadien (Ken) Wickham, Wanda (Chuck) Myers; son Regan (Donna) Auger; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brother Henry and sisters Angie Rochot and Madeline Thomas. He was predeceased by his son Lynly Auger; sisters Gisele Ramage, Lina Desautels, Yvette Ladubec and Jeane Stevenot; brother Rollie Auger; nephew Ernie Auger; father Joseph Auger; mother Celestine Baribeau and step mother Rebecca Auger. Marcel was born in Shaunavon on August 8, 1935. He attended school in Dollard. Marcel was united in marriage to Maureen Fulton on November 10, 1956 in Shaunavon at the Centre Street Church. He worked for Co-op Bulk Petroleum for several years and then took up farming for about ten years after that. He was a member of the Moose Lodge In Medicine Hat. Marcel enjoyed growing flower and vegetables. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, barbeque, woodworking and leatherworking. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends.
