Passed away at Scarborough General Hospital, Scarborough, ON. on Tuesday October 15th, 2013 Garland Simmonds of Canning’s Cove in his 87th year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 60 years Mildred, sons: Willie (Gertrude) of North Bay, ON, Lionel (Olive) of Whitby, ON, Eric (Ronda) of Scarborough, ON, and Tony (Annette) of Canning’s Cove, daughters: Gladys Wheeler (Dana) of Scarborough ON, Janet Day (John Reid) of Sprucedale, ON, Rowena LeBlanc (Robert) of Port Elgin, ON. 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Alice Jane Chatman (Ralph), Barbara Pitts (Clayton) brother Lorne Simmonds plus a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral service was officiated by Alex Stevensons from the Gospel Hall, Bloomfield on Sunday Oct. 20, 2013 with interment following at Pilgrims Faith Cemetery, Musgravetown.
