Balcom, Jean Christine – age 77 years of Berwick, passed away peacefully in Kentville on October 28, 2013. Born in Berwick on January 30, 1936; she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marguerite (Nickerson) Steadman. Jean loved to go dancing every weekend with her special group of friends and was such a graceful and beautiful dancer. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and at the cottage with her family playing cards. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughter Karen Simpson (Tim) of Berwick and sister Phyllis Salsman (Thomas Lingley); cherished grandsons Tyler and Jared Simpson; nephews Larry Salsman (Shoneth), Rick Salsman (Joy), Derrick Salsman (Donna) and niece Kathy Taylor (Brian). Predeceased by her brother in law Russell Salsman and half sister Pauline Mason. Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st, 2013 from 7-9pm at the Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel; from where the funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at 1pm with Rev.
