FISCHER, S.J., REV. LEONARD J. - At René Goupil House (Jesuit Infirmary) Pickering, Ontario on Sunday, November 10, 2013 in his 97th year and 78th year as a member of the Society of Jesus. Father Fischer was born in Preston, Ontario, the son of the late George Fischer and Magdalen Dietrich. He was ordained a priest in 1947. For the next sixteen years he was assistant to the master of novices and master of novices for nine years.
Visitation at St. Ignatius Chapel, Manresa: Jesuit Spiritual Renewal Centre, 2325 Liverpool Road North, Pickering, Ontario from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12 with prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish, 175 Emma Street, Guelph, Ontario.
