Tattrie, Beulah Irene – 94, Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 19, 2013 in the Lodge. Beulah was born January 15, 1919 in Tatamagouche, the daughter of the late Lemuel and Frances Tattrie.
She was a home maker and mother who devoted her life to caring for her family.
Surviving are daughters, Marie Blenkhorn (Bruce), Truro; Margaret “Peggy” Miller (Eric), Tatamagouche; Joan Hollings (Geoff), Burlington, Ont.; Rose Johnson (Peter), Truro; Mary Anne Tattrie, Truro; Brenda Gilbert (Josh), Winnipeg, Man.; sons, Ralph (Cecilia), Tatamagouche; Dick (Carol), Truro; Wayne (Gloria), Tatamagouche; Frank (Carol), Tatamagouche; Roger (Rose), Tatamagouche; Billy (Janet), Hilden; Many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Winnie Colpitts, Tatamagouche; Berthena MacDonald, Truro. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold W. Tattrie; daughter, Florence Miller; son-in-law, Clarence Miller; grandchildren, Jimmie Miller, Michael Blenkhorn, Crystal Blenkhorn, Rose Marie Blenkhorn, Harold Blenkhorn, David Blenkhorn Jr.(Ruthie); great grand daughter, Kim Blenkhorn; sisters, Rosie Millard and Stella Mingo; brother, Crawford.
Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 and Funeral Service 3 p.m. Friday, November 22, Rev. Penny Nelson officiating, both in Coulter’s Funeral Home, Tatamagouche. Interment will be in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche, followed by a time of fellowship at the Tatamagouche Fire Hall. Family flowers only.
