FOSTER, DOUGLAS MARVEN - After a courageous battle with cancer and having suffered a massive heart attack, Douglas Marven Foster passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 26, 2013. Born on November 21, 1942, he was a son of the late Walter and Luella (Bacon) Foster. He is survived by his loving wife, of 42 years, Rose Marie (Green) Foster. His son James (Tabatha) of Saint John, his two daughters, Patricia LaViolette (Paul) of Saint John and Brenda Anthony (Stephen) of Utopia. Grandchildren, Natilie, Shelby, Megan, Logan, Danielle and Ryan. Sisters, Norma Brown, Nerea Moore (Earle), Shirley Shelley and Lois Lemmon (Rt. Rev. George). Brothers, Lloyd (Rosalind), Carl (Barbara) and special nephew Gary Weatherhead and his son Scott Weatherhead. Doug’s favourite place was his home on Lake Utopia.
In keeping with Doug’s wishes there will be no visitation. However, a celebration of his life at the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB will commence at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 28, 2013, with a reception to follow at the Presbyterian Kirk Hall, St. George.
