Carl passed away with his wife Denice by his side in Kamloops after a lengthy battle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Denice (nee Cartwright) and his two sons Jeffrey and Dennis; his grandchildren Dalton, Brooke and Jessica. Carl is also survived by his sister Julie Petrunia, brother Jan Gola and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Carl was predeceased by his father John, mother Katy Gola, brothers Doug and Joe Gola and his sister Diane Gola.

Carl was born at Rochfort Bridge, Alberta, but spent most of his life in New Westminster, B.C. After his sons were born, the family moved around quite at bit, from owning a Marina in Brentwood Bay to working at a coal mine in Sparwood, B.C. They settled down in Kamloops in 1977, where Carl worked for School District # 24.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Hospice, and also Dr. Howie for the excellent care that he received during the last two weeks.
