James Mason

MASON, JAMES WILLIAM DAVID - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Mason, age 25 of Fredericton at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, December 6, 2013, surrounded by members of his immediate family. Born in Fredericton, NB, he was a son of Allan and Sonia (Beck) Mason. James was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church. Recently James was a student of the Plumbing Program at NBCC Woodstock. Aside his parents he is survived by a brother Allan Jr.; sisters Penelope (Cory) and Rebecca (Alex); grandfather Reginald Beck; a niece Madeline and a nephew Heath who will miss their “Uncle J” dearly. James was a man of many interests. He could always make people laugh with his wide range of humor. He loved animals, especially his dog and friend Shadow. His caring soul was easily shown to those close to him. James (or “Mason”, as he was known to his friends), was a great debater but, when needed, could always turn a serious conversation into a lighthearted situation with a few jokes. He was an avid gamer and had a wide knowledge of current events. James was able to spark a conversation with people of any age and could always find something in common with everyone he met. When James’ wonderful personality shone, it shone brightly and touched everyone he met. Predeceased by his paternal grandmother Manette Gervais, paternal grandfather Ellery Percy Mason and maternal grandmother Carmen Richard.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB. A funeral service will be held from Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Marysville on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Father Dr. Aaron Knox officiating.
