Margaret T. (nee Carey) Colbert

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret Colbert, age 79 of St. Michael's. Mom passed away on December 6th, 2013 at the Health Sciences Center in the presence of her loving family. She is predeceased by her Husband, Gerald (1998), her parents Aiden & Mary Carey and her sister Rose Tobin. Leaving to mourn are her six devoted children, Carol (Mike) Luby, Jerry Colbert (Amanda), Louise (Colin) Sullivan, Gladys (Keith) Hayden, Colleen (Greg) Dalton, and Keith (Juanita) Colbert; her fifteen loving grandchildren, Leanne (Curtis) Walsh, Danielle & Sheldon Luby, Lori & Ryan Colbert, Aaron, Patrick & Colette Sullivan, Stefan & Noah Hayden, Alyssa, Amanda & Kalem Dalton, Cody & Liam Colbert, and one beautiful Great-Grandchild, Peyton Walsh, whom she adored. She also leaves to mourn her sisters Joan (Gerard) White, Madonna (Patrick) Doyle, and Shelia (Wayne) Williams; one brother Aiden (Shelia) Carey and one Sister In Law, Nellie Colbert. Also mourning her passing are a large circle of family and friends especially her two special friends, Zita Dunphy and Emmie Luby, who provided her with many laughs and wonderful memories over the years. Mom will always be remembered for her love and devotion to her Family; her Garden; St. Michael's Church; and St. Anne whom she said many a prayer. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home in Bay Bulls, Saturday, December 7th, 3-9 pm and Sunday, December 8th, 2-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, December 9th, at 11:00 am from St. Michael's RC Church, St. Michael's. Interment to follow at St. Michael's RC Cemetery. Flowers greatly accepted or donations may be made to St. Michael's Restoration Fund.
