Gardiner “Mickey” LeBlanc

It is with great sadness that the family of Gardiner “Mickey” Edward LeBlanc age 78 of Amherst announce his passing on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Edward and Edith (Rushton) LeBlanc.
He was employed at Amherst Regional High School and Waldale licence plate manufacturer in Amherst as well as the Arcade in the Amherst Centre Mall.
Mickey had a passion for bowling and was a member of the Mack Hopkins Friday Night Men’s League and the Sunday Night Bob Harrison League. He loved playing pool and dancing.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Marilyn (Arsineau) LeBlanc, children Debra Roberts of Edmonton, AB, Elaine Strong, Mark, Kathy LeBlanc, Elton and Tim all of Amherst, Christina LeBlanc of Calgary, AB and Brenda LeBlanc of Kitchener, ON, step children Joyce Dysart of Moncton, Michael Dawson of Amherst and Peter Dawson of Kitchener, 18 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mickey was predeceased by a sister Joanne Babineau.
There will be no visitation.
A gathering to celebrate Mickey’s life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Amherst Wesleyan Church, Amherst.
Memorial donations in Mickey’s memory may be made to the Amherst Wesleyan Church through Campbell’s Funeral Home, Amherst.
