The death occurred at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Tuesday, December 24, 2013, of Andrew Jones formerly of Pleasant View, aged 95 years. Beloved husband of Edna (Doucette) Jones. He was born in Roseville on May 17, 1918, the son of the late Jack and Lucy (Clements) Jones. Dear father to Johnny (Aldona), Miminegash; David (Joyce), Tignish; Sidney (Barb), Cambridge, Ont.; Lloyd, Eastern Passage. N.S.; Ralph (Joanne), Hamilton, Ont.; Larry (Wilma), St. Edward; Faye (Edmond) Arsenault, Summerside; Evelyn (Peter) Gallant, Charlottetown; Linda (Stephen) Ingram, Liverpool, N.S., and Sandra Jones, Summerside. Loving grandfather of 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a half brother Don (Mary) Jones, Piusville, and the following brothers and sisters-in-law Freddie (late Joan) Doucette, Lawrence (Delores) Doucette, Arthur (Ada) Doucette, Evelyn (late Ronald) Myers and (late Melvin) Julia Doucette all of Pleasant View, Lucille (Francis) Richard, St. Louis, and Wilfred (Eileen) Doucette, Summerside. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Lucy, brothers Louis, Eddie, Leo, Carl, Melvin, Freddie and a sister Maria. Resting at the West Prince Funeral Home, 522 Thompson Road for visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. Funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 28, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, with funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
