FORBES-MCALLISTER, HEIDI - With her heart filled with trust, hope and God's peace, Heidi Forbes-McAllister completed her earthly journey with great dignity and grace and went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at the age of 53. Heidi was a woman with an amazing faith and she touched so many lives with her positive outlook and brilliant smile even in the face of adversity. Music and singing were an important part of her ministry in life and she was overjoyed at every opportunity to share her faith. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Smythe Street Cathedral. She will forever be remembered for her honesty, forthrightness and especially her courage. Heidi was born November 19, 1960 in Puslinch Township, Wellington Co., Ontario to John Thompson Forbes and Dorothy Jean (Bulger) Forbes. She rejoiced in her 16 year marriage to the love of her life, Doug McAllister. She also leaves behind her much loved and cherished son Adam Constantine and his dear wife Lorilee as well as three very special chosen children, Jared McAllister (Patti), April Belding (Peter) and Landon "Lanny" McAllister (Tarah). Her heart overflowed with love and pride when she spoke of her precious grandchildren, Sam, Emmalee, Leah, Denver, Calee, Katherine and Emmah. Heidi loved and was loved by her six siblings, Peter (Janice), Paul (Rene), Hughie (Cathy), Nancy Blake, Ruth Bogart (Jerry) and David (Marla). Her many nieces and nephews and cousins always held a special place in her heart. Heidi made many lasting friendships in life and each one was treasured and loved.
The family would love you to join them for a time of visitation and sharing of memories to be held Friday, December 27 at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.
A celebration of Heidi's life will be held from Smythe Street Cathedral, 913 Smythe Street, Fredericton on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Verner Drost officiating assisted by Rev. Wayne Flowers. Heidi will be buried privately at a later date. Her church was an integral part of her life and Heidi requested that she be remembered with memorial contributions to Smythe Street Cathedral.
