Passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Chesley Patey, at the age of 68 years. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Rita (nee Lasaga); 4 precious daughters: Patricia Hynes, Pamela Patey (Wayne), Gloria Patey (Fred), and Michelle Patey Osmond (Perry); special son Shawn Patey (Debbie); grandchildren: Steven Hynes, Scott Farnell, Shane Patey, Kyle Hynes, Michael Patey, Alicia Hynes, Ryan Farnell, Shontal Patey-Callahan, and Brianna Osmond; great-grandchildren: Dawson Gale, Emily Hynes, Jenna Collins, Caiden Farnell, and Madison Farnell; sisters: Cassie Brockway (Pat) and Margaret Hatcher; brothers: Clarence Patey (Lorraine), Jerry Patey, and Kenny Patey (Artemis), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents Garfield (December 5, 1992) and Susanah “Toots” Patey (August 8, 2000); brothers: Gary (May 27, 2001), Clayton (November 20, 2004), and Danny (1947). We wish to thank the staff who cared for Chesley at the Palliative Care Unit WMR Hospital and Father Russell. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Sunday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Baxter Park officiating. In keeping with Chelsey’s wishes, cremation will take place. Interment will follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
