LAMBERT, LEWIS LEE - 1951-2013 - Mr. L. Lee Lambert of North Head, Grand Manan Island passed away at the Grand Manan Hospital on Saturday, December 28, 2013 with his wife, Susian and daughter, Mandy by his side. He was the son of the late Arlington and Jean (Trask) Lambert. He will be most remembered for his dedication to his career, spanning 27 years at the Fundy Marine Service Center as the Marine Travel Lift Operator since the center was opened in 1987. It was a job that not many can do and he did it with skill, precision, and care. Working on anything that he could put his hands on with an engine was his passion and he was well-known for his mechanical skills. He owned a service station with his father in his early years, and went scallop and lobster fishing after he closed his garage. Always interested in the Island community, Lee helped by volunteering at the Community Arena by servicing and operating the zamboni during the last two skating seasons. Lee was proud of his family, loved his family dearly, and worked hard to provide for them. Lee will be missed by the entire community. He is survived by his wife, Susian Lambert; his daughter, Amanda Lambert of North Head; his son, Mark (Lisa) Lambert of Ottawa, ON; one sister, Barbara Ross; one sister-in-law, Lori (Ian) Hudson of Grand Bay-Westfield; his beloved grandchildren, Lauren, John and Daniel; and his nieces and nephews, Abigail, Wesley, Tyler and Trevor. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Rickie in 1993.
Visitation will take place at the North Head Wesleyan Church on Thursday, January 2 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, January 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jasper Rideout officiating. The interment will follow at the North Head Community Cemetery.
