It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved husband, father, and grandfather Melvin Joseph Power, age 59. Melvin passed away peacefully in his home in Brigus South on January 1st leaving to mourn his wife Josephine (nee Boland), 3 children: Keith (Lynn), Colleen (Louie), Kimberly (Gary), and 6 grandchildren: Alyssa, Kelsey, Cameron, Ava, Owen and Denver. Also mourned by brothers Angus (Alexis), Leonard (Noreen), Billy and sisters: Theresa (Ed), Mary, Margaret Rose. Predeceased by brothers: Kevin, Peter and sister: Catherine. Also mourned by a large circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting in Ryan's funeral Home, Bay Bulls, on Thursday, Jan. 2nd from 4-9pm and Sunday, Jan. 5th from 2-9pm. Mass of Christian burial to take place on Monday, Jan. 6th at 11AM from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle. Internment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape R.C. Cemetery, Cape Broyle.
