The death occurred peacefully, at his home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 of Arthur Scott Quigley, Mount Royal, age 90, dear husband of Hazel (Waddell). Born on May 1, 1923, in Tryon, he was the son of the late Percy and Laura Mae (Riley) Quigley. Dear father to Donald (Janet), Victoria West; David (Olga), Mount Royal; Alan (Janet), Truro, NS; Phillip (Linda), Truro, NS, and Mary, Victoria West. Loving grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law to Eleanor (Ron) Brown and Shirley Waddell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Arthur was predeceased by his parents, daughter Esther (2011), grandson Jonathan (2004), brothers Riece, Sterling, Jimmy, sisters Etta, Evelyn, Florence, Reta and Pearle in infancy. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Saturday 2-5 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Sunday at 2 p,m. Interment to follow at a later date in People’s Cemetery, Mount Royal. In memory of Arthur, memorials to the Peoples Cemetery, Mount Royal or Homecare-West Prince-Palliative Care would be appreciated.
