Passed on: January 3rd, 2014

Angus Daniel MacIntyre suddenly and peacefully left this life on Jan. 3, 2014, as he had lived it, giving unconditionally of himself to others.
Born in Sydney on Aug. 3, 1940, Angus was the son of the late D.J. and Ethel (Musgrave) MacIntyre.
Angus did so much for family, friends and community. He was a true role model. He was an experienced human relations trainer who worked and volunteered with numerous groups and non profit organization. He was active in civil rights movements throughout Canada and the US. Author of two books, with more wisdom left unwritten.
Angus‘s commitment to lifelong education helped him earn his BA from Notre Dame and obtain his Masters in Adult Education from Saint Francis Xavier. He is also a graduate of the Coady International Institute. He was a lifelong student who supported and encouraged others to pursue their own personal learning journeys with unconditional support.
His passions included fiddling and golfing with his buddies, especially Albert.
His desire was always to enter into discussions with his children and others, whenever the occasion arose or could be created. His intention was to stimulate thinking on any particular subject of mutual interest. Through these interactions, many colourful stories arose and were retold with humour whether you had heard them already or not.
A man who really knew what mattered in life; his time. He was always there when someone needed him and you knew you held his full attention.
Till the end, he could still be overheard planning what golfing game, job, exciting workshop or community activity he would facilitate always doing so with that smile on his face.
You are no longer physically present in our lives, but in our hearts you'll always be there.
Angus is survived by his wife of 48 years, Julie; children, Dawn Michelle, Ann Marie, Dan, and Jim (Colleen); grandchildren, Krista (Matt), Thomas (Melissa), Danielle (Kristen), Richelle (Steve), Keagan, Angus, Luke, Keesyk and Keevenie; great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Max and Emma; brothers, Lorne, Carl, Charlie and Alex; and a list of other family members too numerous to mention, including pride in his godchildren.
