It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Peter Harty, age 58, from Duntara at the Health Science Complex, St. John's on January 4, 2014. Predeceased by his parents, Austin and Susan Harty and sister, Mary Eileen Harty. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his son, Justin (Kayla); special companion, Melvina Eddy; brothers and sisters, Geraldine Duggan (Ben), Ellen Harty, Patricia Philpott (Pierce), Kathleen Philpott (Bill), Regina Jennings (Doug), Austin (Christina), Leo (Melinda), Shirley Brennan (Matthew), Claude , and Danita Keough; nieces, nephews and a large number of other relatives and friends. Rested at the Community Hall, Duntara. Funeral mass, officiated by Father Lloyd Lugtu, assisted by Sister Elizabeth Whelan, took place from St. Peter and Paul Parish, Kings Cove on January 8, 2014 with interment following.
