Isabelle Smalley
Born: December 24th, 1917
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear friend Isabelle Lyra Smalley, at Northside General Hospital on Jan. 12, 2014.
Isabelle was the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by her parents, Richard and Ruth (Prescott) Smalley and brothers, Clarence, Edward and Alfred.
Isabelle was born Dec. 24, 1917, and lived her entire life in Sydney Mines. After completing school, she worked at various commercial establishments in North Sydney and Sydney Mines until her retirement from the British Canadian Co-op in 1978.
Isabelle was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines.
By request, there will be no visitation. A private committal service will be carried out at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Anglican Church Building Fund or to a charity of choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fillmore and Whitman Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
