CORMIER, YVONNE M. “BONNIE” – With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Yvonne Melba “Bonnie” Cormier on January 16, 2014 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Born in Little Lepreau on August 10, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Melba (Lomax) Hope. Bonnie is survived by her loving and devoted partner, Spencer D. Price; one son, Donald of Kingston, ON; three sisters, Shirley Powell and Norma Murdock, each from Fredericton, and Inez McLeod of Little Lepreau; one brother, Vance Hope of London, England; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her husband Ernest J. Cormier, and infant son, Steven. We would like to thank Dr. Heman Chow, Dr. Anan, Dr. Debbie Gowan, Dr. Digby, the nurses and staff of 3SW, and the Palliative Care Unit for their excellent care and support towards Bonnie.
In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, a graveside service will be held in the spring at the Little Lepreau Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Little Lepreau Cemetery, Breast Cancer Association, or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
