It is with great sadness that the family of the late Paul James Oxford announce his sudden passing in Elk Point, Alberta on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at the age of 28 years. He leaves to treasure his memory forever: his son, Aiden Paul Rosette-Oxford; parents, Alice & Jim Oxford; sister, Megan; nephew, Steven; grandmother, Kathleen Kavanagh; aunts and uncles: Frank Kavanagh (Pat), John Kavanagh (Donna), Harry Kavanagh, Wayne Kavanagh (Karen), Marie Kavanagh, Kevin Kavanagh, Eddie Kavanagh (Donna), Albert Kavanagh (Rose), Catherine Kavanagh (Art), Donna Kavanagh (Kevin), Margie O’Brien, Pat Clegg, Tammy Kavanagh, Rod Oxford (Dianne), Bob Oxford (Diane), Jerry Oxford (Kim), Shawn Oxford (Jennifer), Judy Abbott (Tim), Catherine Lomond (Nathan); also numerous cousins and a very large circle of friends from Corner Brook, Springdale and Lloydminster. He was predeceased by his ­grandparents, Mary & Melvin (Slim) Oxford; grandfather, John Kavanagh; and uncle, Noel Kavanagh. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Monday, January 20, 2014 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer & Immaculate Conception, Mount Bernard Avenue, on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Cremation to follow and interment to take place at a later date. As expressions of ­sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aiden Paul Rosette-Oxford Education Fund at the Newfoundland & Labrador Credit Union.
