Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s on Jan. 14, 2014, Mr. Martin Gibbons of Pigeon Cove, NL in his 72nd year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Annie; daughters Eileen (Vaughn), Joy (Keith), Lillian (Ramsey), and Mary Jane (Shawn); son Martin (Leona); grandchildren Christopher, Danica, Chantelle, Jonathon, Ian, Katie, Bradley, Victoria Lynn, Brianna, and Nickolas; sisters Lillian (James) Coombs, and Edith (Isaac) Dredge; brothers James (Gladys), and Edmund (Mary Ann), as well as large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Steven and Myrtle Gibbons. Visitation took place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Black Duck Cove followed by the funeral service which was held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19 with Rev. Harold Harvey and lay reader Matt Osborne officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
