Jeannine Magee

MAGEE, JEANNINE - 1927 - 2014 - With heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Jeannine Magee (née Leger) on January 17th, 2014 at the Villa du Repos on Murphy Avenue, in Moncton, NB, at the age of 86. Born in St. Joseph (Westmorland County), NB on June 6th, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and the late Zelma (née Landry) Leger. Jeannine worked for 17 years at Tourism New Brunswick in Riverview and enjoyed curling. Jeannine is survived by her loving and devoted sister, Bertille Demers of Dieppe; two sons: Michael and Paul Magee, both of Moncton; two daughters: Susan Magee (José Herran-Lima) of Moncton and Jo-Ann Magee of Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, QC; seven grand-children: Patrick, Jill, Jessica, Katherine, Alexandra, Caroline and Mark; two great-grandchildren: Elise and Chloe, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A mass will be celebrated, in her honour in late spring, at Christ-Roi Church on Essex Street, Moncton, NB. An announcement will be published once a date has been determined. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Foundation Villa du Repos or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences and remembrances may be placed at www.chartersville.com. The family would like to thank the staff at the Villa du Repos for the exceptional care and support to Jeannine and her family along the road of her lengthy illness.
