Jacqueline "Jackie" Lane
LANE, JACQUELINE “JACKIE” - With sad hearts, the family of Jacqueline “Jackie” Lane, announce her peaceful passing at York Care Centre, Fredericton on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the age of 77. Born January 16, 1937 in Chatham, NB, Jackie was a daughter of the late George William and Nina Alberta (McDonald) MacDonald. She was affiliated with the United Church of Canada. Jackie was employed with Sears Canada for 26 years, where she met many wonderful people and made some very special lifelong friends. Jackie enjoyed travelling and was blessed to have seen many parts of the world. A trip to New Zealand and Australia was a highlight and fulfilled one of her lifetime dreams. No matter where she travelled though, there was no place like home as this was where her family was. Her family was her greatest joy. She loved spending time with each of them especially her five grandsons, who lite up her life from the day they were born. Jackie is survived by her daughter Karen Chase (Kevin) of Noonan and her sons, Kevin Lane (Linda) of Douglas and Keith Lane (Judy) of Durham; five grandsons, Mark (Gabriella) and Kyle Chase, Jeremy, Tyler and Ryan Lane; two great grandchildren, Audrey Lane and Cameron Lane; two very special chosen grandchildren, Shannon O’Connell and Trevor Havenga; a sister Carmel Vienneau (Al) of Quebec; several nieces and nephews. Her parents; husband, Melvin A. Lane; an infant son Kenneth; brothers, Alfred, Lawrence, Clarence and Arthur and sisters Doreen Martin, Joyce Milloy and Constance Lajambe all predeceased her.
