KENNETH AUSTIN HALCRO
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Austin Halcro on January 22, 2014 at Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert, after a lengthy battle with numerous health conditions. Ken was born on January 24, 1941 in Prince Albert and was raised on the family farm in the St. Louis district. He was well-known through Aim Supply, where he was one of the shareholders of the business. He retired, and continued doing another job for which he had a great passion – hauling cattle and bales through a business he started, Ken-Dor Farms. He had his own cattle and spent many hours just watching them graze. Ken loved spending time at the lake with his family. His grandchildren and great-children could always put a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his family. Ken is survived by his daughters Shelly (Brian) Grimard, Gail Crawford (Gerald Gobeil); his grandchildren Brandon (Janique) Grimard, Dustin Grimard (Ashley Martin), Ryan (Krista) Crawford, Ashley Crawford (Devon LaVallee), Kayla Crawford, Joshua Gobeil, Brody Gobeil; his step grandson Joey (Tracy) Gobeil; his great-grandchildren Meika, Shianna, Logan, Landon, Ethan, Maxx, Beckett; his brothers Doug (Sylvianne) Halcro, Don (Jean) Halcro, Leonard Halcro, Floyd (Lucy) Halcro, Carman Halcro, Bruce (Dori) Halcro; his sisters Audrey (Rick) Barber, Joan Barmby-Halcro; his sister-in-law Jackie Halcro; his father-in-law Rene Rabut; his in-laws Lucy McDougall (Craig Inkster), Irene (Wayne) Minor, Annette (Greg) Chicoine, George (Cory) Rabut; his numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Doris Halcro; his parents Austin and Marjorie Halcro; his brothers Leslie Halcro, Cyril Halcro; his sister Lila Halcro; his mother-in-law Anna Rabut; his sister-in-law Raymonde Royer; his brother-in-law Stanley Royer; his nephew Eddy Royer. We would like to thank the staff on the Fifth Floor at Victoria Hospital for the wonderful compassionate care Ken received. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25 at River Park Memorial Chapel with Pastor Dennis Serfas officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan or the Canadian Cancer Society. Interment will take place in the Garden of the Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director.
