URQUHART, CRISTY LUANNE - (1973 - 2014) - Ms. Cristy L. Urquhart of Castalia, Grand Manan Island, NB passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 with her loving family by her side. Cristy always had a strong faith; she was a member of The Immanuel Family Church, attended Sunday school, and was part of the Crusaders. She had spent two years at The Sir Frederik Frasier School for the blind before graduation from the Grand Manan High School. She will be missed dearly by her family. Cristy is survived by her parents, Brian and Janie (Ingersoll) Urquhart of Castalia, her son Brandon Mason, one brother Benjamin (Tasha) Urquhart, of North Head, also nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Cristy was predeceased by one baby brother Aaron in 1971. Also her grandparents Malcolm and Lona Urquhart, and Kermin and Irma Ingersoll.
Visiting will take place at the Immanuel Family Church, Woodwards Cove on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will take place from the Church on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Mark Munn officiating. The interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Cristy’s family have requested donations be made to the Grand Manan Nursing Home Foundation, the Immanuel Family Church or to the donor’s choice.
