Paula Mitchell

The death of Paula Marie Mitchell occurred peacefully at Extendicare, Moose Jaw on January 22, 2014. Paula was born in Moose Jaw, March 12, 1964 and she has lived here all her life. She enjoyed her school days and the teachers and students with whom she interacted – primarily at John Chisholm School. Later, she engaged in work experience at The Spa and Diversified Services. Paula lived at home with her dad and mom and the three of them travelled around Moose Jaw taking in the garage sales, touring the mall, stopping at the library or going for coffee. She loved her pets, “Chico”, “Sammy” and “Fat Cat”. Paula was happiest when perched up in front of the TV, surrounded by her purses and books while admiring her bejeweled, manicured hands. Paula and Mel “Sarge” Ostrom were great friends and she would attend some of the social and sports events with him. In time, Paula moved into the care of Citizens All and eventually to Extendicare where she resided for her last years. Predeceased by her parents, Ormond and Vera and her sister, Judy Paler. Paula is survived by her brother, Mark (Olga), Winnipeg; her nephews, Scott Paler, Winnipeg and Bryan Paler, Victoria ; several aunts, an uncle, cousins; including Norma Mitchell, Moose Jaw, and long time friend, Rose Mary Hartney, Moose Jaw. Thanks to all of the caregivers who have provided support and enriched Paula’s life. Cremation has taken place and there will not be a funeral service.
