THIBODEAU, FLORA - (1901-2014) - Rogersville – At the Miramichi Regional hospital, on Wednesday, January 22nd, 2014, at the age of 112 and 10 months, passed away our oldest citizen in Canada, Flora Thibodeau, wife of late Léon Thibodeau. Born March 20, 1901, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Chiasson and the late Henriette Gallant. She will be missed a lot by her five children: Noëlla (late John Chauvin) of Pointe-Claire Qc, Léontine (Heinz Buhriz) of Surrey BC, Germaine (Bob Herndon) of Casa grande Arizona, Roméo (Viola Doiron) of Moncton and Roger of Toronto; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons: François and Léopold; one sister Alice; three stepsisters: Anna, Madeleine and Marie as well as four brothers: Joseph, François, Alphonse and Amédée.
Family will be receiving relatives and friends at the salon ‘La Colombe’ 11325 rte 126, Rogersville on Thursday, January 30th, at 1:00pm. Funeral will be held at the St-François de Sales Roman Catholic Church in Rogersville, on Thursday January, 30 at 3pm. Visitation hours: Thursday, January 30th, from 1:00pm until the departure for the funerals. A donation to the Association du Monument Notre-Dame de l`Assomption of Rogersville would be appreciated.
