MARTIN, LEROY McKAY - Leroy Martin of Quispamsis, husband of Margaret (Price) Martin, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2014 at Embassy Hall, surrounded by his family. Born in Bath, Carleton Co., he was a son of the late William and Mattie Martin. Leroy worked for NBTel for 41 years, and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. His passions included golf, curling, hunting, gardening, and music. Leroy also taught clogging and line dancing at the Continental Country Club. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret, sons Bryan (Nancy) of Dallas, TX, Greg (Jackie) of Saint John, and Brent (Beatrice) of Riyadh, KSA, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Leroy was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda, grandson, Jamie Allen, as well as brother, Harold, in infancy. The family would like to thank the staff of Embassy Hall for their compassionate care during Leroy's time with them, and to Pastor John Dunnett for his support.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visiting on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from the Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at a later date.
