PATTEN- Pauline Marguerite-92, of The Meadows Home for Special Care, passed away on January 25, 2014 at The Meadows. Pauline was born November 14, 1921 in Pleasant Lake, Yarmouth Co. She was a daughter of the late Gordon and Marguerite (Doane) Nickerson. Pauline was a member of the Hebron United Baptist Church. She was employed with Cosmos Imperial Mills for many years, and worked for Tusket Post Office, and in later years was post master. She is survived by daughter, Louise (Lloyd) Emin, Tusket, Yarmouth Co.;, sons, Charles (Emmelene), Brooklyn, Yarmouth Co.; Malcolm (Joan), Tusket; Sandy (Claire), Moncton, NB. Sisters, Mary Durkee, Yarmouth; Helen Wilcox, Port Maitland; 13 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Robert; brothers, Summner Nickerson; Frank Nickerson; sisters, Louise Nickerson, Bessie Wood; and grandson Robert (Randy).
Family flowers only please. Donations in memory can be made to the War Amps of Canada or charity of choice. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Cremation has taken place and visitation took place on Sunday January 26, 2014 from 7-9pm. A memorial service was held on Monday January 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating, all from Sweenys Funeral Home and Chapel. Interment will take place in the Tusket Cemetery in the spring of 2014.
