JOHNSON, LYDIA - 1917 - 2014 - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Lydia Johnson (born Robichaud) on January 25 at the Villa du Repos, Murphy Ave, Moncton, NB. She was 96-years-old: born the 19th of August 1917 in St-Charles, Kent Co. Lydia was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Marguerite (Daigle) Robichaud. She was predeceased by her husband Emile Johnson from St-Ignace Kent, Co. She was also predeceased by eight brothers: Alphonse, Josephat, Alfred, Alyre, Joachim, Rene, Edmond and Jean-Baptiste ”John”; three sisters: Agnes, Julie and Yvonne; and also by three sons: Paul-Emile, Paul Emile and Jean and two daughters: Marie and Mariette. Lydia will be sadly missed by her brother Léopold from Dieppe, NB, also by her seven children: Fernande (Charles) Poirier of Moncton, Yolande Johnson of Dieppe, Gilberte (Gilles) Cormier of McKees Mills, Raymonde (Ola) Johnson-Basque of Dieppe, Annette Johnson of Dieppe, Jean-Claude (Marie-Paule) Johnson of St-Ignace and Marc (Michelle Veilleux) Johnson of Ottawa; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours: 9:30 to 11:00am, Saturday, February 1st, at the Chartersville Funeral Home. Following visiting hours there will be a celebration of life in the Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any charity of your choice. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at La Villa du Repos for the exceptional care their mother received during her stay and especially during the last week of her life.
