Stewart, Mildred F. Upper Musquodoboit

Stewart, Mildred Fay – Age 94, Upper Musquodoboit, passed away, on January 26, 2014, in Elk Court, Brookfield.
Born in Maccan, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Rebecca (Brown) Canning.
Always busy, she willingly shared the baking and her handiwork, which she continued doing into her 90’s.
A loving mother, and grandmother, she will be sadly missed by daughter, Vicky (Jim) McCoul, Brookfield; sons, Doug (Lila), Dean; Jeffrey, Middle Musquodoboit; son-in-law, Ross Wier, Harmony; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Rebekah Canning, Middle Musquodoboit; brother, Reagh, Upper Musquodoboit; sister-in-law, Shirley (David) Fulton, Dartmouth; numerous nieces and nephews; and long-time friend, Daisy Kindervater.
She was predeceased by husband, Douglas; daughter, Helen; sisters, Helen, Harriet (Gordon); brothers, Ernest (Flo), Clair, Lenard (Marie); sister-in-law, Laura.
A private family graveside service will be held in Hillcrest Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
